Thailand A Wedding Haven for Beach and Mainland Ceremonies
Nowadays, weddings abroad are gaining popularity with couples wanting intimate and meaningful affairs in beautiful and exotic locations. Thailand is one of Asia's most popular wedding destinations with its picturesque scenery, luxurious facilities for guests and fabulous ceremony and honeymoon packages. In Thailand, beach weddings are especially popular with couples attracted to the tropical sunshine, crystal blue sea and beautiful white sandy beaches.
Thailand's Popular Wedding Destinations
Some of Thailand's most popular wedding destinations are located in southern Thailand perfectly surrounded by the Pacific Ocean both in the west and east. Great weather coupled with exquisite scenery makes the southern beaches the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding. With a blend of unique culture, bona fide cuisine and a host of glamorous hotels and resorts, Thailand's beaches are a tropical wedding paradise.

one of Asia's gems, Phuket is a remarkable location where fantasy weddings turn into reality. Phuket has much to offer to foreign brides and grooms from conventional leisure activities such as diving and game fishing to more locally authentic activities like elephant riding. Newly weds will definitely find the sailing trip around Phi Phi and other local islands most exhilarating as Thailand's beauty is unraveled in the turquoise seas and the swaying palms.
Ko Samui
Off Thailand's East Coast, this island boasts of its own airport and an excess of boat cruises. Ko Samui's small island population makes it the perfect getaway for foreign couples seeking to immerse themselves in the abundance of Thai culture. So popular has this island become with foreign tourists that large passenger liners such as the MS Queen Victoria decided to add it on their sea route.
Krabi
With modern facilities and views to die for, Krabi offers a homely sense but with a feel of tropical paradise. The seat

of several national parks, Krabi offers more than a conventional beach honeymoon with numerous breathtaking waterfalls to pick from at the Khao Phanom Bencha National Park and a variety of exotic wild birds to entice eager birdwatchers. Krabi is also renowned for its shimmering caves rich in mineral deposits and ostentatiously hanging stalactites.
Trang
From picturesque corals to exotic fish, Trang has it all. Its crystal clear blue waters not only create perfect scenery but are the perfect setting for an underwater wedding. Popular with foreign couples, Trang underwater weddings are held annually and live up to their expectations. From regal palaces to reverent temples, Bangkok holds nothing back to foreign couples on honeymoon. As a matter of fact, Bangkok has the largest Buddha located at Wat Po standing at an amazing 40 meters long. For foreign wed couples who don't want to swim against the traffic on the streets of Bangkok but still want to enjoy the magnificent sites in Bangkok, a leisure cruise along the Thon Buri canals will do. These canals can be boarded on any one of the piers to give you a glimpse into the City of Angels.
"Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok are popular Thailand's wedding destinations," commented Chris Comer, CEO of Castlewood Group, a commercial real estate developer based in Singapore. "Also, more couples choose to celebrate their honeymoons in Thailand these days, taking into consideration the affordable prices and beautiful scenery."
The 8over8 luxury hotel, a project by Castlewood Group, will be situated in Phuket, near the beautiful Bang Tao Beach and Laguna Resort. It will be scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2013.
