Battle of Mactan
The annual reenactment of the Battle of Mactan takes place on the 27th of April every year at a beach on the island of Mactan. In this play, mock battles with swords are fought by the acting tribal warriors. Sometimes cannon fire is even used during the festival. The history of this place is extremely interesting. Country Side Fiestas

Flores De Mayo
This festival is celebrated on all of the islands in honor of the Virgin Mary. As per the tradition a choir consisting of little angels (small girls and boys) sings the Ave Maria inside the church and offer flowers at the Altar. Apart from taking part in this event, many tourists boarding Cebu flights make sure to participate in the enthralling Santa Cruzan parade where people dressed up like matrons are assigned biblical roles and are told to walk under floral arches.
