On the way towards Kata Beach is Karon Bazaar with a large selection of goods making it a shopper's haven. On Lung Phochuan Road is Karon Plaza which sells DVDs, T-shirts, and local Thai handicrafts. Shopping areas in Kata Beach are inland just a bit. They offer a wide selection of shopping opportunities for travelers. Smile Gallery is a good place to find modern art oil paintings. Nearby is the Bikini Shop, which is one of the best places to find the latest fashions in swimwear and other accessories. There are some sportswear outlets in Thailand in this area. One of the biggest is the Adidas and Nike Outlet on Kata Road. Kata Bookshop is nearby for secondhand The northern section has many restaurants, guesthouses, and pubs. The southern end offers a beautiful coral reef and a great place to dine on seafood and watch the sunset, and also has a popular reggae scene. The surrounding headlands throughout the area provide good hiking, jungle and forests treks with exquisite sunset and panoramic views.
